2012 Suzuki XL 7 review, accessorySuzuki XL 7 You have indeed seen the new 2012 Suzuki XL 7 before - essentially, the car is a lengthened version of the Grand Vitara SUV. Suzuki introduced the XL 7 in 2001 as a solution to those not comfortable in larger SUVs. This new SUV offers rear-wheel drive or 4WD for off-roading, as well as a considerable more room than the Vitara and others. As such, the XL 7 comes in two distinct models and packages - the XL 7 Touring model and the XL 7 Limited model. The purpose of our monthly 2012 Suzuki XL 7 review is to provide you with the latest information so you can research for a new car. For information about XL 7 accessories and other features, please read on.
Every XL 7 review starts with the SUV's powerful engine, and ours will too. Both XL 7 models are powered by a 2.7-liter engine that produces 183-horsepower and 180 pounds-per-foot of torque. Five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions are available models, and both come standard with a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds. Other standard features include: antilock brakes, and power assisted stearing, and MacPherson independent front and rear suspension. The 2012 Suzuki XL 7 also comes loaded with bells and whistles. Some of these interior and exterior amenities include:
Other features include an optional rear air conditioning switch in the center console with rear air vents, running boards, leather seating, heated mirrors, and a power sunroof. For those interested in adding items to their XL 7, we offer links to 2012 Suzuki XL 7 accessories retailers which are posted on our home page. Visit them to find the Suzuki accessories that will compliment your XL 7. The final component to our 2012 Suzuki XL 7 review is, of course, safety. Every XL 7 model comes standard with reinforced unibody construction, a steel reinforced passenger compartment, second-generation dual airbags, and a steel ladder-type frame with energy absorbing zones to protect you during a crash. Though the car doesn't boast side-impact air bags just yet, it does offer pretensioning seatbelts, head restraints, and, of course, anti-lock brakes. At the time we posted our 2012 Suzuki XL 7 review, the NHTSA had not tested the XL 7, though the regular Grand Vitara has been given four stars (out of a possible five) for driver and front-passenger protection in frontal impacts.
