2012 Suzuki Aerio performance reviewSuzuki Aerio Welcome to our 2012 Suzuki Aerio review. Billed as an "entry-level subcompact," the new Aerio comes as a sedan or wagon. New for this year, the Aerio also gets optional all-wheel-drive, making it quite a bargain to offer AWD in this class. Aerio's sedan comes in two different models - the Aerio S and Aerio GS. The wagon comes in its own model - the Aerio SX. If you are looking for information on any of these models, or if you seek information about 2012 Suzuki Aerio accessories, please visit our home page where we have posted links to retailers. Stellar Aerio performance begins under the hood, where a powerful dual-cam, 2.0-liter in-line four-cylinder engine produces 141 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and delivers 135 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,000 rpm. With one of the most powerful standard engines in the subcompact class, Aerio also offers an available 145-horsepower, 4-cylinder engine. All of the Aerio models come with automatic four-speed transmissions, but a manual five-speed is available for the Aerio SX as well. The 2012 Suzuki Aerio exhibits good handling and road stability at all speeds due to MacPherson struts front and rear. Finally, thanks to liquid-filled mounts for the engine and insulation around the passenger compartment, the 2012 Aerio's cabin is fairly quiet, too - something every Aerio review notes.
Here's a twist: The 2012 Suzuki Aerio offers exciting design with crisp lines and sporty aerodynamic treatments that help disguise the boxy dimensions characteristic of most hatchbacks. On the outside, round foglamps, along with the large triangular polycarbonate shields and multi-lens headlamp clusters, add a mysterious and otherworldly appearance to the car. The hood rises steeply to the windshield, where front door posts coalesce into roof rails that curve and meet other door and frame elements. Both sedan models come with 15-inch alloy wheels, and the wagon model boasts 14-inch steel rims. Finally, the Aerio's two wide doors on each side provide access to front and rear seats in the cabin, while the hatchback opens onto a large back bay. For those who wish to extend the exotic appearance of their Aerio, there are a multitude of 2012 Aerio accessories and body kits that are available from retailers which are listed on our home page. Our Aerio review isn't over yet. On the inside of every Aerio, standard equipment includes:
The Aerio SX comes standard with additional cruise control, a keyless remote entry system, rear window wiper/washer, the rear spoiler, and a chrome tip on the exhaust pipe. Completing the superior 2012 Suzuki Aerio performance picture is, of course, safety. Every Aerio comes standard with reinforced unibody construction, a steel reinforced passenger compartment, second-generation dual airbags, and a steel ladder-type frame with energy absorbing zones to protect you during a crash. For more information about any of these safety features, or to read more about some of the available Aerio accessories, please visit our 2012 Aerio review again soon.
